I am totally infatuated with all the beautiful smaller houses out there right now! Dotter & Solfjeld Architecture + Design have created my latest dream house. It was designed to be a guest house but I could totally see retiring in a sweet little house like this in the redwoods of Northern CA. Well done folks… well done.
Garden Guest House
I’m just in love with this little garden shed conversion to a guest house. I think I’d be spending more time there than any guest would be.

Something tells me this amazing place would not meet any American building codes. But I find it amusing, creative and fantastic!

This is supposedly a rabbit shed but wow wouldn’t it make a great tiny house or playhouse? Beautiful. Check out Cordwood Construction for more great cordwood building ideas.

One of the most beautiful front doors I’ve ever seen! Two thumbs up for Tumbleweed and Pav!
“In the picture above you can see the front door, window seat and storage loft, which probably won’t hold much storage so as not to block the gorgeous stained glass acorn. The window seat has three drawers below for storage and the seat lifts up for keeping blankets or other flat items.”

I really like when people take buildings and repurpose them into homes. You can click here for interior photos.
“This is one of the most unique properties in the state of Georgia. This gristmill was built in the year of 1790. It is one of the few properties that is truly “green”. The property has a 200 ft. granite dam with a 2 acre retention pond, granite gate house, and spillway. The mill has been converted into a 3200 sq.ft. heated house. It is a three story, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home.”
