When I think of Urban Homesteading ideals the Dervaes family come as close to perfection as I can imagine. They have been successfully homesteading in a city for several years. Go look at Urban Homestead for the wealth of information that they have.

On this tiny sliver of land, they manage to be mostly self-sufficient. “This is our form of protest,” says Dervaes, who is 60, “and this is our form of survival.””
